The adjustable structural ridgeline is used to set the sag of your hammock. It can be adjusted to your preferences.
New Feature - 6/11/25 - My adjustable ridgelines are now made with the "tail" of the safety prusik embedded back within itself to keep it from coming loose(see 2nd picture on this listing). That means you don't have to worry about remembering how to do the prusik if it comes undone.
The recommended length is 83% of the length of your hammock length. So, if your hammock is 132" long, then the length of the ridgeline should be 110". That is where the majority of people find their most comfortable hang. However, not everyone falls into the "majority" category, so by using an adjustable ridgeline, you can find out your perfect sag.
