Want to make your traveling companion as comfortable as you are on those cold nights?  A simple bed/pad greatly enhances their ability to stay warm.

I made one of these pads for our livestock dogs that spend most of the time outdoors.  It has been in use 24/7 for the past 4 years and it's survived 2 full grown LGDs and 2 puppy litters with minimal damage (see the attached pictures in the gallery that show a couple of dime size tears).

Given that this was not used in a backpacking situation, weight wasn't a concern.  However, I am also going to offer it in a couple of lighter fabrics more suitable for backpacking.

Features:

  • 3 Fabric choices availalbe
    • 70D Woodland Camo Nylon Ripstop with PU Coating

  • Synthetic Apex 3.6 oz Climashield insulation for ideal performance
  • Multiple sizes to accommodate dogs from small to large (The size chart is a general guideline.  You can test the size at home first with a cardboard cut out to see how it will fit your dog.)

Does the job

Pack cloth on throw bag is durable enough to survive abrasion from Sierra granite. Bag is very lightweight, plenty big (can be rolled small as needed) and does the job.
