Estimated Weight
The stuff sack is sized after reviewing your existing Trail Winder and the combined insulation bulk. Compression sack weight varies with the size required for the combined system. Most are approximately 2.5–3.5 oz, with the overall range generally 2–4 oz. Weights are approximate and may vary slightly.

This listing is for the Modular Add-On insulation layer only. A complete Trail Winder Underquilt is not included.
The Trail Winder Modular Add-On provides additional Climashield® Apex insulation for colder conditions without requiring another complete underquilt.
The add-on attaches to a compatible Trail Winder using a series of snaps. It is positioned between the hammock and the original underquilt, allowing the original Trail Winder to remain the outer protective layer.

Compatibility Requirements
Trail Winders without modular attachment snaps must be modified before an add-on can be installed.
Modular Add-Ons are interchangeable between Trail Winders made for different hammock lengths. For example, an add-on from an 11′ Trail Winder can also fit a 12′ Trail Winder, provided the insulation coverage shape and lay orientation are the same and the attachment snaps are compatible.
Attachment Snaps: Your existing Trail Winder must have modular attachment snaps installed. If it does not, the underquilt must be returned for modification before the add-on can be attached.
Size and Lay Orientation:
When ordering, choose the insulation cut and orientation that matches your original Trail Winder. If you have a custom-sized Trail Winder, please contact me before ordering to confirm compatibility.

The Modular Add-On is available with four Climashield® Apex insulation weights: 2.5, 3.6, 5.0, and 6.0 oz/yd².

Temperature ratings are general comfort estimates. Individual comfort, weather, hammock setup, clothing, and other conditions can affect performance. SLD does not provide temperature estimates below -20°F.
