Understanding the Asymmetrical Design
To help visualize the setup, imagine a parallelogram-shaped tarp with the ridgeline running diagonally between the two furthest corners (see the last image in the photo gallery).
Because the tarp is asymmetrical, you'll need to select the correct orientation based on the direction you sleep in your hammock.
If you lie diagonally with your head toward the right side of the hammock and your feet toward the left, select the Head Right / Feet Left orientation. If you sleep in the opposite direction, select the opposite orientation.
Storm Mode
Optional Storm Mode tie-outs allow the ridgeline to be shortened while slightly lowering the sides of the tarp to improve protection during heavier weather.
Ridgeline Design
Because the ridgeline follows the bias (diagonal) of the fabric, there is no ridgeline seam.
One consequence of this design is that the ridgeline will not pitch as tightly as a traditional tarp. Until you're familiar with the setup, avoid overtightening the ridgeline.

Really nice work on my tarp. If you think you might ever get rained on(looking at you SE USA), get the storm tie outs and get the wide version. I bought the regular width knowing this would be my fair weather, lightest/cheapest tarp. But wish I would have added the extra ounce, with the xenon sil-wide, for the peace of mind.
Finally got a chance to use it this past wkend. Took it on vacation! Should have done a bit more research and gotten it with the "storm mode". Is still super without. It is truly one of the lightest tarps I have seen.
I tarp is amazing and so light. Just want I need in SoCal. Thank you Jared
I love this tarp. Get the storm mode tieouts and it really extends the comfort level of using this tarp in rain. It makes it easy to pitch it low just above your hammock and also provides nice flap in each of the narrow edges to prevent rain from blowing in the side. Total game changer for me - it makes me much more confident that I’ll stay dry given the minimal size of this tarp.
As usual, super well made and designed. All in all, this tarp is a no-brainer to buy at this Great price and utility. I also use it as a sun shade when out for the day - easy to pitch and provides a nice shade for several folks.
This is an amazing tarp. The build quality is outstanding, it weighs practically nothing (5.2oz stuffed), and covers just enough to protect from the sun or a light rain on those fair weather days. As cool as it is, I don’t think it’s the star of the show. Jared’s customer service is outstanding. You have forever won me over.
