The traditional round-bottom design works well for a wide variety of backpacking gear because most soft items naturally take on a cylindrical shape when packed. From clothing and smaller gear to bulky quilts, the range of available sizes makes it easier to get an appropriate fit without carrying an unnecessarily large sack.

Choose from lightweight sil fabrics or heavier PU-coated Woodland Camo depending on your preference for weight, durability, and appearance. Optional features are also available for easier handling or attachment.

Features

  • Choice of lightweight sil fabrics or heavier 1.9 oz PU-coated Woodland Camo
  • Drawstring closure
  • Double-stitched bottom seam for increased durability
  • Variety of sizes and colors
  • Optional bottom handle for easier removal of packed gear
  • Optional daisy chain webbing with 2” attachment openings

Choosing Your Size

Dimensions shown are the approximate filled and closed dimensions of the sack.

Replacing an existing stuff sack:
Measure across the bottom of the sack while filled to determine the width. Measure from the bottom seam to the closed top edge for the length.

If your existing sack is easier to measure while empty and laid flat, contact me with those dimensions and I can help determine the appropriate round-bottom size.

Starting without an existing sack:
A pillowcase or similar bag can be used to estimate the size you need. Place your gear inside, compress it to the amount you’re comfortable with, and measure the approximate width and length of the resulting bundle.

Options

Daisy Chain Webbing — Heavy-duty webbing with 2” attachment openings centered along the length of the sack. The webbing begins approximately 1” below the closed top and stops approximately 2” above the bottom.

Bottom Handle — Adds a convenient grab point to help pull packed gear from the sack.

Notes

Dimensions shown are approximate filled and closed dimensions. The actual sack will be longer when open to provide the material needed for the drawstring closure.

Drawstring size and cord lock style are selected to best match the size of the sack. Smaller sacks typically use a mini cord lock, while larger sacks use a standard cord lock.

Weights vary depending on the dimensions, fabric, and options selected.
