The stuff sack is sized after reviewing your existing Trail Winder and the combined insulation bulk. Compression sack weight varies with the size required for the combined system. Most are approximately 2.5–3.5 oz, with the overall range generally 2–4 oz. Weights are approximate and may vary slightly.

This listing is for the modular insulation layer only. A complete Trail Winder Underquilt is not included.
If you are adding this to an existing Trail Winder that does not already have the required snaps installed, you will need to ship your underquilt back so the snaps can be added and the fit verified.
An appropriately sized stuff sack is included and will be sized to accommodate both your original Trail Winder and the Modular Add-On. If you choose to add a compression sack, it too will be based on the overall bulk of your set up.

How the Modular System Works
One of the challenges with underquilts is that a single quilt rarely performs comfortably across a wide range of temperatures without compromises.
The Trail Winder Modular System addresses this by allowing a second insulated layer to be added to the existing quilt while maintaining the same lay orientation.
The modular layer installs between the hammock and the original underquilt. This positioning minimizes gaps between the insulation layers while allowing the sides of the primary underquilt to continue blocking wind from reaching the additional insulation.
