If you hate trying to set up a tarp in the wind, a pair of Skins is for you. They allow you to string up a hammock or tarp in the wind before taking them out of the flys(stuff sacks). That way, the wind is not whipping them around.
Features:
- Choose from different fabrics/weights/sizes
- Sil versions of the flys may have a seam in the body of the skins. - Shockcord drawstring at wide ends to secure
- Available in several lengths including Asym - designed specifically for the Simplicity Asym tarp
- Designed to have some overlap in the middle to ensure complete enclosure of tarp in stuff sack
- Width: 4" at wide end and taper to 1.5"
- Work well with newer lightweight tarp fabrics
- If you have a bulkier tarp fabric(such as Xenon Wide or Silpoly XL), choose the Wide width. Non tapered is best for Dyneema Tarps.

It makes setting up the tarp too easy. I mean, the first time I used them I was sure I did something wrong because of how fast and easy they were.
Skins are made exactly how I asked. Sooo much more convenient and faster than folding or stuffing the tarp. Excellent customer service and quick delivery.
Perfect product. Fits my tarps like a glove and saves tons of setup time. Quality and price are amazing as usual.
The mesh is the way on your tarp, let it dry on the outside of your pack in the Summer or leave it wet on the outside to keep your packs inner dry.
I bought a standard 13' set to use on my 10x10 tarp (14' diag) and did not like the 1' section hanging out in the middle.
I ended up using one side of the pair with a 10" skin I had already and got the over lap I wanted. If you plan to use your 10x10 diagonally, ask for a custom 14'.
I would suggest adding it to the options drop down as a standard length.
